Sandi Leatherman
Sandi brings a depth of varied skills, expertise and experience accumulated over a 40-year career as a small business entrepreneur in the fields of hospitality, artist management, advertising and real estate management. She has volunteered in the area of hospice and palliative care for over 40 years, is a committed community builder, and the mother of three children and six grandchildren. She has served on and chaired several boards, including ANKORS, the Nelson and District Hospice Society, the Kalein Centre, and the Nelson Street Performers Festival.
She is the Founder of the Kalein Centre, a campus of integrated dialogue, education and hospice care located in Nelson, British Columbia. Some of her passions include reading, cooking, giving a good party, being in nature, swimming, and traveling. She and her husband, Brooke, were one of the first to build at Procter Point, and not a day goes by where they don’t feel the immense gift of living in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
